A view to an artist

I was first introduced to the technique of stained glass in 1996 by Master Craftsman Peter Philipus from "Het Amsterdamse Glas in Lood Zetterij" in Amsterdam. After attending the prestigious Birmingham City University, School of Jewellery and Silversmithing in England for three years, I was used to precision working and had gained considerable  knowledge about design and graphics. These skills where put to good use and helped me adapt to the techniques of cutting and setting stained glass. It wasn’t long before I fell in love with the Artisan craft of stained glass. The various types of glass, from mouth blown to pressed glass, and the abundance of colour absolutely amazed me. Actually, it did more than that, it mesmerised me and opened the door to a world of creativity that has been a joy ever since.

People are like glass stained windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within. - Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
